Individual therapy is one-on-one treatment that allows the therapist and client to focus on each other and build a rapport in a joint process of solving the client's issue.

Sessions typically last an hour and the duration of treatment varies. Some concerns can be addressed through short-term therapy in a few weeks, while more chronic or complex issues require long-term treatment.
