Individual therapy is one-on-one treatment that allows the therapist and client to focus on each other and build a rapport in a joint process of solving the client's issue.

Sessions typically last an hour and the duration of treatment varies.  Some concerns can be addressed through short-term therapy in a few weeks, while more chronic or complex issues require long-term treatment.

Issues addressed in individual therapy include:

  • Depression

  • Anger management

  • Grief and loss

  • Guilt and forgiveness

  • Anxiety

  • Compulsive behaviors

  • Body image

  • Eating disorders

  • Substance abuse

  • Abuse
